Large-Scale Timber Tract Clearing Near Power Lines

The Challenge

A property owner in Callahan, FL needed roughly 40 trees cleared from a timber tract — each one 25 inches or larger in diameter — positioned along two major roadways and running close to active power lines. With the tract already being actively timbered, the removal window was tight, and the size of the trees combined with the roadway and power line proximity made this a job with little margin for error.

The Approach

Jake, Eagerton Tree Service’s owner, worked directly with the client to move the project up three weeks from its original schedule once he understood the tract was already being actively timbered — prioritizing the customer’s real-world timeline over the company’s own convenience. From there, the crew brought the equipment and rigging expertise needed to bring down large-diameter trees safely along public roadways and near live power lines, following the same safety protocols and insurance backing (licensed, bonded, and insured with $2 million in general liability and a $5 million umbrella policy) that Eagerton Tree Service applies to every job of this scale. The ResultEvery tree came down safely and correctly, the crew worked efficiently despite the scope of the job, and the property was left cleaner than the crew found it. The client called the team “professional, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable” from start to finish.

“I had an excellent experience with Eagerton Tree Service LLC! I had a timber tract in Callahan, Florida, with approximately forty 25-inch-and-above diameter trees located along two major roadways with power lines around them — not an easy job. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable. Jake, the owner, also went above and beyond by making an effort to get me on the schedule three weeks earlier than originally planned because the tract was being actively timbered. That kind of responsiveness and willingness to work with the customer really stood out to me. The crew did a fantastic job, worked efficiently, and left the property cleaner than they found it. They clearly take pride in their work and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done safely and correctly. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, and professional tree service in the Jacksonville area, I highly recommend Eagerton Tree Service LLC. I would absolutely use them again!”

I hired Eagerton Tree Service to handle a big job on my property: crown cleaning two massive Live Oaks (with branches hanging directly over my roof), trimming a large Queen Palm, and removing dead limbs from a neighbor’s tree that was completely covered in Spanish moss and hanging over the sago palm in my backyard. Keven and his crew were punctual, highly accommodating, and took extreme care with my property throughout the entire process. I was especially impressed by how they maneuvered their specialized equipment through my narrow 4.5-foot gate into the backyard without any issues. Professional, skilled, and incredibly careful—I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Keven and the team at Eagerton Tree Service! Exceptional service from start to finish!
